Understanding the New Device & Device Accessory Standards Post July 1st

The TGA standards for Vaping Products came into effect on July 1st, including new regulations around Vaping Devices and their Accessories. Only devices or accessories meeting these standards can be sold, via a pharmacy, after July 1st.

1. Device and or Accessories must now meet MDSO, Essential Principles or ARTG standards to be sold in the Australian market.

2. Devices must be TGA Notified as meeting these standards, and listed on the TGA’s Notification website, to be sold in Australia.

Below is a quick check list to ensure you have or are buying a Device or Accessory that meets these new standards:

A Notified Product: The Vaping Device or Accessory appears on the TGA Notification Hub
Plain Packaging: The packaging is primarily white with no device or accessory visible on the Primary Packaging.
Manufacturer Details: The Manufactures name and address, where the product was produced, must appear on the primary packaging.
Warning Label: A warning label must be visible on the primary packaging denoting: Keep out of Reach of Children, Risk of Fire or Explosion. Replace only with the Same Size and Type of Battery

All devices and accessories must be tested with a liquid available on the Australian market to qualify for TGA notification. Wild by Instinct Devices and Accessories are tested with Wild by Instinct Liquids.
